Grandma's Pumpkin Pie - Nellie White Gault

Mix:
¾ C brown sugar
½ t salt
1 T flour
1 t cinnamon
½ t nutmeg
½ t ginger
¼ t cloves
(2 ¼ t pumpkin spice may be used instead of spices)

∙ Add:
1 ½ C cooked or canned pumpkin
1 ½ C milk
2 eggs (or 1 egg and 1 t corn starch)
2 T dark molasses (optional)

∙ Pour into pastry-lined 9" pie pan.
∙ Bake at 450' for 15 minutes then 325' for 40 minutes longer
∙ 3 eggs can do for 2 pies.
