Rumakis - Janice Dahl

Oriental Sauce:

¼ C vegetable oil
¼ C soy sauce
2 T ketchup
1 T vinegar
¼ t pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
∙ Bacon slices
∙ 2 cans water chestnuts
∙ Marinate water chestnuts in sauce about 4 hours.
∙ Drain.
∙ Cut bacon slices in half.
∙ Wrap chestnuts in bacon strip and fasten with a toothpick.
∙ Roll in brown sugar and arrange in a shallow pan.
∙ Bake at 400' about 20 minutes till bacon is crisp.
