Red Velvet Cake - Sheryl Rice

½ C butter
1 ½ C sugar
2 eggs
2 T cocoa
2 oz bottle red food coloring
1 C buttermilk
1 t salt
1 t vanilla
2 ½ C flour
1 ½ t baking soda
1 T vinegar

∙ Cream butter and sugar then add eggs and beat well.
∙ Add coloring.
∙ Mix salt, vanilla and buttermilk in a cup.
∙ Add alternating with flour and cocoa mixture to creamed mixture.
∙ Combine soda and vinegar.
∙ Fold into batter.
∙ In 9x13 pan, bake at 350' for 30 minutes.
