Navajo Fry Bread

4 C flour
2 t baking powder
1 t salt
4 T shortening
1 ½ C warm water

∙ Mix dry ingredients.
∙ Cut in shortening.
∙ Add water, mix and knead to make a soft tough.
∙ Roll out very flat on lightly oiled surface.
∙ Fry in hot oil browning both sides.
∙ Top with chili beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc.
