Easy-As-Pie Apple Pie
4 C thinly sliced pealed apples (4 medium)
1 ½ C water
¼ t cinnamon
¼ t nutmeg
1 T margarine
1 3-oz package peach jello
1 package (4 servings) vanilla pudding and pie filling
baked 9" deep dish pie crust, cooled
∙ Combine apples, water, spices and margarine in saucepan.
∙ Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
∙ Stir in jello, add pudding mix and blend well.
∙ Bring to a full boil.
∙ Remove from heat and let stand about 5 minutes.
∙ Pour into pie shell.
∙ Chill till set, about 4 hours.
∙ Garnish if desired.
