Cream Wafers - Marilyn Jones

1 C butter, soft
⅓ C whipping cream
2 C flour

∙ Mix thoroughly, cover and chill.
∙ Heat oven to 375'
∙ Roll ⅓ of dough at a time, ⅛" thick on floured cloth covered board.
∙ Cut into small circles or shapes.
∙ Cover the shapes with granulated sugar on both sides.
∙ Place on ungreased baking sheet.
∙ Prick with fork.
∙ Bake 7-9 minutes.
∙ Cool then put cookies together with cream filling

Cream filling:
¼ C butter/margarine
¾ C powdered sugar
1 t vanilla or other flavoring

∙ Cream each till smooth and fluffy.
∙ Tint with food coloring.
