Christmas Cranberry Dessert - Helen Arrington

2 C (1/2 lb) ground cranberries
1 C (1 lg) diced banana
½ C sugar

∙ Combine and set aside.

2 C vanilla wafer crumbs
6 T margarine, melted

∙ Combine and press into 9x9 pan.

½ C margarine
1 C sugar

∙ Cream till light and add:
2 eggs

∙ Beat till fluffy.

Fold in:
½ C nuts

∙ Spread over crumb mixture crust.
∙ Top with cranberry mixture.
∙ Spread whipped cream over top.
∙ Sprinkle with wafer crumbs.
∙ Chill 6 hours or overnight.
∙ Serves 12.
