2 C flour 2 C sugar ½ C margarine ½ C oil 4 T cocoa 1 C water 1 C buttermilk 1 t baking soda 1 t vanilla ¼ t salt 2 eggs ∙ Bring margarine, oil, cocoa, and water to boil and pour over flour, sugar mixture. ∙ Mix well. ∙ Add buttermilk, baking soda, vanilla, salt and eggs. ∙ Mix well. ∙ Pour onto a well-greased and floured cookie sheet. ∙ Bake at 400' for 20 minutes.
Frosting:
5 minutes before cake is done, combine and bring to boil:
½ C margarine
4 T cocoa
5 T milk
Remove from heat and add:
1 T vanilla
1 C nuts
1 box powdered sugar
∙ Beat till smooth.
∙ Spread on cake while both cake and frosting are hot.
