Chocolate Pound Cake

3 C flour
1 T baking powder
¼ t salt
1 C (2 sticks) butter, softened
3 C sugar
1 ½ T vanilla
3 eggs
1 C cocoa powder
1 ¾ C milk
Confectioners' Frosting
Allegretti Glaze

∙ Preheat oven to 350'
∙ Sift flour, baking powder and salt together onto wax paper.
∙ Beat butter and sugar together in medium-sized bowl until fluffy.
∙ Add vanilla then add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
∙ Add cocoa then add milk alternately with sifted dry ingredients in 3 additions beating well after each addition.
∙ Pour into greased and floured 10" Bundt pan (12 C)
∙ Bake in preheated oven for 1 hr and 20 minutes, or till cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
∙ Invert onto wire rack and cool.
∙ Drizzle Confectioners' Frosting over top.
∙ Drizzle Allegretti Glaze over Confectioners' Frosting.
∙ Garnish with green grapes dipped in Confectioners' Frosting if you wish.

Confectioners' Frosting:

∙ Blend 1 ½ C sifted powdered sugar with about 5 t water until smooth and well blended.

Allegretti Glaze:

∙ Melt 1 square unsweetened chocolate with ¼ t vegetable shortening in top of double boiler over hot water.
