Celebration Stew - Helen Arrington
4-6 potatoes, cut in half
2 lbs stew meat
5 carrots, coined
4 stalks celery, chopped
1 lg onion, diced
1 small pkg frozen peas
2 T brown sugar
6 T quick cooking tapioca
3 beef bullion cubes dissolved in ¾ C water
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 ½ C tomato juice
1 t horseradish (opt)
salt/pepper
∙ Combine all ingredients in a large Dutch oven or baking dish.
∙ Bake at 250' for 5 ½-6 hours.
