2 C creamy frosting
Green and red food coloring
1 baked cupcake
13 creamfilled sponge cakes (Twinkies)
28 Gumdrops
38 MikenIkes
12 red candy coated licorice pieces
8 white candy coated licorice pieces
red shoestring licorice
white circle candies
∙ Tint 2 T frosting with red food coloring (used to frost cupcake).
∙ Tint remaining frosting with green food coloring.
∙ Frost one of the sponge cakes with green icing, arrange next to cupcake.
∙ Arrange remaining cakes, one at a time, next to a frosted cake, then frost.
∙ Arrange the last cake at a diagonal to the rest as a tail.
∙ Decorate 12 strait cakes with 2 gumdrops for feet each.
∙ Place into those 12 cakes 3 Mike-n-Ikes to look like buttons.
∙ Use candy coated licorice pieces as top spines of the caterpillar.
∙ Make a face using the 2 white candies as eyes, gumdrop for a nose, a Mike-n-Ike for a mouth, licorice for eyelashes and gumdrop topped licorice pieces for antenna.
