Candied Fruit Slices - Kathleen Dunbar

1 C butter or margarine
1 C sifted powdered sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1 t vanilla
2 ¼ C flour
1 C pecan halves
2 C candied cherries

∙ Cream butter/margarine with sifted powdered sugar
∙ Blend in egg and vanilla.
∙ Add flour and mix well.
∙ Stir in pecan halves and candied cherries.
∙ Chill dough then divide into thirds and shape into roles each 12" long.
∙ Wrap in wax paper then chill or keep in refrigerator until ready to bake.
∙ Cut into ⅛" slices and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
∙ Bake at 325' for 13 to 15 min or until light brown.
