Candied apples or pears
6 C sugar
3 C water
¾ t cream of tarter
∙ Cook all above quickly without stirring to 290'.
∙ Add a few drops of red food coloring.
∙ Place pan in hot water to keep from hardening.
∙ Begin dipping skewered apples or pears at once.
∙ Cool on greased surface.
∙ Coats 9 medium apples or pears.
